Here are some glitches for the Boss questlines

IGN/JOB/LV: Vinr - Dark Knight - Lvl 95
Type of Glitch or Bug: Boss drop
Assumed reason of the glitch: The boss is not coded to drop the unique quest item
The time it happened: 01 April @ 1900
Note: The last part of the quest chain "Eliminating King Sage Cat" is unable to be completed. After you kill King Sage Cat at Mu Lung: Goblin Forest 2, he does not drop the unique item "Antidote Marble", and the quest cannot be turned in. It is supposed to be a 100% drop rate item but after killing the boss 4 times it never dropped.


Type of Glitch or Bug: Quest Npc
Assumed reason of the glitch: The npc is not coded correctly to give out quest
The time it happened: 01 April @ 1915
Note: In the second part of the quest chain "Snowfield Giant", you are supposed to talk to the Spirit of the Snow Statue and receive a quest from them. However after clicking on the Npc, the window appears to select the quest, but when you click on it, the window disappears and nothing else happens. I have tried @dispose and switching channels and nothing has worked.

Also some Quests that require the player to drop an item in a specific location do not work such as:

Type of Glitch or Bug: Quest Item Disappear
Assumed reason of the glitch: Quest Item Interaction not Coded
The time it happened: 01 April @ 1939
Note: In the quest "Joining Zenumist" the player is tasked with dropping a "Strange Bottle of Water" in the room "Zenumist Society". The item disappears, but the needed quest item does not drop afterwards. Cannot gain access to all of the other Magatia questlines because this one is required Sad

Type of Glitch or Bug: Quest Item Disappear
Assumed reason of the glitch: Quest Item Interaction not Coded
The time it happened: 01 April @ 1930
Note: In the quest "Tae Soo's Reward" the player is tasked with dropping "Tae Soo's Peach" on the stone bench in "Mu Lung: Wild Bear Area 1". Same as the last one, the item disappears, but the needed quest item does not drop afterwards.

Type of Glitch or Bug: Monster Drop
Assumed reason of the glitch: New monsters not coded correctly
The time it happened: 17:48 4/21
Note: The monsters to the right of "Trend Zone Metropolis" in Malaysia all do not drop items at all except the monster 'Rodeo' for some reason. This includes the monsters 'Chlorotrap', 'Emo Slime', 'Dark Fission', 'Oly Oly', and 'Charmer'. This even persists after quitting all active quests. It makes you unable to complete a lot of the Malaysia quests for that area.


Type of Glitch or Bug: NPC Quests
Assumed reason of the glitch: NPC not coded
The time it happened: 1700 4/21
Note: Lita Lawless in New Leaf City cannot give the quests required for acquiring the Deputy Star. Includes "Fool's Gold", "Rags to Riches", "One Step-A-Head", and "Catch a Bigfoot by the Toe". I'm not sure if this was done on purpose or not to prevent getting the dep star.

Type of Glitch or Bug: Monster Quest Counter
Assumed reason of the glitch: Monsters Quest Counter Switched
The time it happened: 1830 4/21
Note: In the first part of the quest "Subani's Legacy", you are tasked with taking out 3 monsters. However, two of the monsters are counted for killing the other. When you kill one monster, the other is counted. This usually wouldn't be a problem, but the quest requires different number of kills for each monster. Now the quest is stuck at 30/40 for one and 40/30 for the other. Killing either monster doesn't not change the count. Picture for reference.

I don't think this one was fixed tried it today 5/8 after the restart last night. Tried again 5/17 on two characters. The problem isn't that the monsters are not registering. The problem is that when you kill a "Mighty Maple Eater" it actually counts toward the "Fire Tusk" counter. When you get to 30/40 on the "Fire Tusk" counter, neither killing the "Mighty Maple Eater" or "Fire Tusk" adds more toward the quest. Several other people also said it doesn't work for them.



Type of Glitch or Bug: Item Bug
Assumed reason of the glitch: Not coded
The time it happened: 2000 4/21
Note: The Mu Lung Dojo All Cure that you pick up off the ground does not work. I saw another thread that said it should be fixed next restart, but it still does not work for some reason. To clarify, it is the "Party All Cure Potion"

IGN/JOB/LV: Vinko Cleric lvl 34
Type of Glitch or Bug: Npc interaction
Assumed reason of the glitch: Not coded
The time it happened: 0100 5/9
Note: In the quest "Learning the Culture of Ariant" you are supposed to click on the water in the palace to advance the quest. However, clicking does nothing are you are unable to complete the quest.

IGN/JOB/LV: Vinr Dk lvl 109
Type of Glitch or Bug: Chain Npc Interaction
Assumed reason of the glitch: not coded
The time it happened: 0130 5/9
Note: In the quest "The Old Tree" (to kill boss Stumpy), the player is tasked with completing several quests from other npcs first in "Truth of the Rumour". The quest appears on the other npcs, but clicking on it does nothing and the questline can't advance.

IGN/JOB/LV: Vinr Dk lvl 109
Type of Glitch or Bug: Time of day npc not coded
Assumed reason of the glitch: Not coded
The time it happened: tested 6pm pst and 750pm pst
Note: In the second part of the quest "JM's Conspiracy Theory", you are supposed to talk to the npc "Crumpled Up Piece of Paper"  in Hut in the Swamp during a certain time period. The npc is only available from 5pm to 8pm each day. After checking the server time with @time, the npc did not show up at 6pm or 750 pm pst.

IGN/JOB/LV: Vinr Dragon Knight lvl 113
Type of Glitch or Bug: Skill Text
Assumed reason of the glitch: Skill text doesn't match actual values
The time it happened: 1421 5/11
Note: The Dragon Knight skill "Dragon Blood" reads that it increases weapon attack by 20. However, when comparing to the 20 weapon attack potion from mushroom shrine, there is a significant drop in attack range. I assume the actual value is 12 weapon attack. Either the text or the buff amount is incorrect.

Weird, I tried the subani's legacy and it was working fine for me,

The dragon blood skill will work properly with 20atk in the next restart.

Note: After finishing a few previous quests, Arwen the Ghost wants to tell you a password to unlock the door connecting the two labs in Magatia. The quest "Verifying the Password" is unable to be accepted.

Type of Glitch or Bug: npc not working
Assumed reason of the glitch: unusual npc not coded
The time it happened: 2045 5/17
Note: In the magatia quest "Life Alchemy, and the Missing Alchemist", you are supposed to take some pills that are "at the top of the table in the upper lab". This refers to the podium with the book in Alcadno Research Institute Lab - Area B-1. Clicking on the npc does nothing and no item is given. Picture for reference:

Note: In NLC the mayor Icebyrd Slimm is supposed to have a few quests including Featherweights and Welcome to New Leaf City Quiz. Talking to him only brings up options to talk about things in NLC or take the quiz- which does nothing when pressed.

Type of Glitch or Bug: Cash Shop
Assumed reason of the glitch: Bugged Items in Cash Shop
The time it happened: Every time I enter the cash shop
Note: This glitch is very tricky and seems like it would be hard to fix but is very annoying in game. Whenever you exit the cash shop, characters have a chance of being bugged. If you get bugged, the map you are in is normal, but whenever you use a portal, the next map will have glitched npcs at random locations and are unable to leave the map unless they change channels or relog into the game. Also once you leave the cash shop, if you use a mount while you are in the normal appearing map, you are unable to get off the mount only until you relog into the game.
Now that the symptoms have been explain I will try to show what I have found after a lot of testing. This bug does not affect characters that have no items in their normal inventory or cash shop inventory. Also, it seems that only certain items being present in the inventory is the problem. Possible that these certain items are bugged and cause the issue?


*Also found a way to exploit this glitch for infinite lasting buffs on any map. If you intentionally bug yourself, any buffs or buff potions that you use while on the first normal looking map can potentially stay forever. The trick is you have to wait for the buff to "expire" before leaving the map and entering a portal or changing channels. This causes all buffs to remain active and in a blinking state even after changing channels- permanent lasting buffs. Recasting the buff returns it to normal.
